新田原基地に支援機が飛来すると「おっ！お宝機が来た！！。」
と終日追いかけました。
上の写真は、1991年12月に新田原基地に飛来した入間基地の
飛行点検隊のMU2Jです。
下の写真は、1984年11月に新田原基地航空祭に飛来した那覇基地の
B65です。 垂直尾翼にシーサーマークをつけていました。

1975年（昭和50年）には長胴のMU-2GをMU-2J飛行点検機
（航法用などの航空設備の動作をチェックする任務）として採用、4機導入した。
外観はMU-2Gと大差ないが、機体構造が一部強化され、機内に航法・通信機器、
オシロスコープ、グラフィックレコーダーなどの機材が搭載された。
老朽化のためU-125に交代し、1994年（平成6年）3月22日に用途廃止となった。

航法訓練機。当初は海上自衛隊に運用を委託していた。
1980年に航空自衛隊側に移管され、連絡、人員/軽貨物輸送機として使用される。
1998年3月全機退役。

In 1975 (Showa 50), the long-body MU-2G
was adopted as a MU-2J flight check
aircraft (a mission to check the
operation of aviation equipment such as
for navigation), and four aircraft were
introduced. The appearance is not much
different from the MU-2G, but the
aircraft structure has been partially
strengthened, and equipment such as
navigation / communication equipment,
oscilloscopes, and graphic recorders have
been installed in the aircraft. Due to
aging, it was replaced by U-125, and its
use was abolished on March 22, 1994.

Navigation training aircraft. Initially,
the operation was outsourced to the
Maritime Self-Defense Force.
TwiceTransferred to the Japan Air Self-Defense
Force in 1980 and used as a contact and
personnel / light freighter. All aircraft
retired in March 1998.
