2005年の夏に、米国からスカイタイピング専用チーム・スカイタイパーズが招され、
全国40箇所で2ヶ月半にわたる 「大塚製薬 ポカリスエット」 スカイタイピングキャンペーンが
行われました。
熊本市内では、２００５年８月１５日（月）にその飛行がありました。
朝から曇り空で半ばあきらめていましたが予定時刻の１０：１５分頃から晴れ間が出てきました。
この日、3回スカイタイピングを行ってくれました。
3回目で大空に「POCARI SWEAT」の文字が出来上がりました。
この文字の長さは ４．５Kｍにもおよぶとか。
職場の屋上から同僚と一緒に歓声を上げました。

大空に宣伝文字をスモークでタイピングを行う。
パイロットは空軍やラインを引退したベテランで構成されている。
飛行機はAT-6テキサンの親戚であるSNJ-2と呼ばれる機体を使用し、
チームは5機（プラス予備1機）である。
