私が住む熊本市は、2016年4月14日と4月16日の2回にわたり大地震に見舞われ、未曽有の震災が発生しました。

　航空自衛隊のブルーインパルスが、被災地の皆さんにエールを送るために、2017年4月22日と23日に熊本県のシンボルの熊本城上空でアクロバット飛行を行いました。

The Air Self-Defense Force's Blue Impulse conducted aerobatic flights over Kumamoto Castle, the symbol of Kumamoto Prefecture, on April 22 and 23, 2017 to send cheer to those in the disaster-stricken areas.

　　スイスのサンティミエで1884年に創業した時計メーカーのブライトリングは、1940年製のDC-3を飛行させる取り組み「BREITLING DC-3」のワールドツアーの一環の取り組みとして熊本の震災復興を願いました。2017年4月30日(日)にブライトリングのDC-3が熊本上空をフライバイしました。

Breitling, a watch manufacturer founded in 1884 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, wished for Kumamoto's recovery from the earthquake as part of its "BREITLING DC-3" world tour, an initiative to fly the 1940 DC-3. Breitling's DC-3 made a flyby over Kumamoto on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

私が住む熊本市は、2016年4月14日と4月16日の2回にわたり大地震に見舞われ、未曽有の震災が発生しました。

熊本地震の被災者を勇気づけようと、ニュージーランド在住の会社社長が所有する旧日本海軍の零式艦上戦闘機（ゼロ戦）が、２０１６年５月３１日（火）に、熊本県の被災地上空を飛行しました。

このゼロ戦の主翼下面には、熊本県のシンボルの「くまモン」のステッカーが貼ってありました。

In an effort to encourage the victims of the Kumamoto Earthquake, a former Japanese Navy Zero fighter jet owned by a company president living in New Zealand flew over the affected area in Kumamoto Prefecture on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
A sticker of ``Kumamon'', the symbol of Kumamoto Prefecture, was affixed to the underside of the main wing of this Zero Fighter.

2016年4月14日及び16日の　平成28年熊本地震　は県内各地に甚大な被害をもたらしました。

特に4月16日未明に発生した地震の影響は大きく、道路、鉄道、航空路と交通インフラが一時的に麻痺に近い状態となりました。

　熊本空港には、被災地支援のために自衛隊や警察など公共の航空機や民間の支援機が全国から多数飛来し、頻繁に離発着を繰り返して救援活動を行っていました。

The 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake on April 14th and 16th, 2016 caused severe damage throughout the prefecture.

The impact of the earthquake that occurred in the early hours of April 16 was particularly large, and roads, railways, air routes, and transportation infrastructure were temporarily paralyzed.

Numerous public and private support aircraft from the Self-Defense Forces and police flew into Kumamoto Airport's from all over the country to support the disaster-stricken areas, frequently taking off and landing to carry out relief efforts.
