築城基地開設５０周年記念塗装を機体に施していました。
T33のチップタンクの無い機体を見たのは、このときだけでした。


This is a T33A-360 photographed at Tsuiki Base on November 8, 1992.
This aircraft was painted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Tsuiki base.
This was the only time I saw a T33 without a chip tank.

日本の南国に住む私は、この青森県をモチーフにした部隊マークをこの日初めて見ました。


This is a T33A-620 of the Northern Air Force Headquarters Support Squadron Misawa Base, taken at Misawa Base on September 10, 1995.As someone who lives in the southern part of Japan, this day was the first time I saw this unit mark with the motif of Aomori prefecture.

Since the Naha base faces the sea, these aircraft were painted gray to prevent rust.

これは1993.2.12に那覇基地の格納庫で撮影した、那覇基地所属の南西航空混成団司令部支援飛行班のT３３Aです。

那覇基地は、海に面しているためにこれらの機体はグレーの防錆塗装をしていました。

部隊マークは、「シーサー」と呼ばれる神獣です。シーサーは、エジプトのスフィンクスが元になっていると言われています。シーサーは、家の守り神として沖縄の家庭に置かれています。

Shisa is said to be based on the Egyptian Sphinx. Shisa is placed in Okinawan homes as a guardian deity of the home.
