これは、1996年05月24日に築城基地で撮影した海上迷彩を施した６SQ-F1です。小松基地で開催される戦技競技会に向けて離陸する際のショットです。

戦意高揚のために、垂直尾翼に太平洋戦争末期に活躍した日本海軍「松山３４３空」の部隊名が書いてありました。

01号機「剣」、02号機「天誅」、03号機「必沈」、04号機「維新」、05号機「奇兵」

軍令部航空部員　源田実大佐は、日本海軍の戦闘機の劣勢に対処しようとしていた。源田は、制空権を獲得して米の攻勢を食い止めることを期して、1944年12月25日に第三四三海軍航空隊を編成、19日松山基地に着任。

戦闘機隊は局地戦闘機紫電改、紫電を装備。偵察機隊は艦上偵察機彩雲を装備。
343空では士気を高めるため、「新選組」（戦闘301）、「維新隊」（戦闘701）、「天誅組」（戦闘407）、「奇兵隊」（偵察4）、「極天隊」（戦闘401）の通称を付す。

1945年3月19日、米機動部隊の来襲による九州沖航空戦で迎撃に参加、「松山上空戦」が初陣となった。

F6Fヘルキャット、F4Uコルセア、SB2Cヘルダイバーから編成された米艦上機160機に対し紫電7機、紫電改56機が迎撃し、米軍機58機撃墜（戦闘機47、対空砲による戦闘機5、爆撃機4、計57機）を報告した。日米双方に戦果誤認はあったが、日本最後の大戦果となった。
　

This is an ６SQ-F1 with maritime camouflage, taken on May 24, 1996 at Tsuiki Base. This is a shot taken during takeoff for the combat arts competition held at Komatsu Air Base.
To boost fighting spirit, the name of the Japanese Navy's ``Matsuyama 343rd Air Squadron,'' which was active in the final stages of the Pacific War, was written on the vertical tail.

Captain Minoru Genda, a member of the military aviation department, was trying to deal with the inferiority of the Japanese Navy's fighter planes. Genda formed the 343rd Naval Air Squadron on December 25, 1944, hoping to gain air superiority and stop the US offensive, and arrived at Matsuyama Air Base on the 19th.
The fighter squadron is equipped with local fighters Shiden Kai and Shiden. The reconnaissance aircraft squadron is equipped with the carrier-based reconnaissance aircraft Saiun.
In order to improve morale, the 343rd Air Corps gives its units the common names Shinsengumi (Battle 301), Ishintai (Battle 701), Tenchu-gumi (Battle 407), Kiheitai (Reconnaissance 4), and Gokutentai (Battle 401).
On March 19, 1945, she participated in the interception of the air battle off the coast of Kyushu by a US task force, and her first battle was the air battle over Matsuyama.
7 Shiden and 56 Shiden Kai intercepted 160 U.S. carrier-based aircraft consisting of F6F Hellcats, F4U Corsairs, and SB2C Helldivers, and shot down 58 U.S. military aircraft (47 fighters, 5 fighters by anti-aircraft guns, bombing) 4 aircraft, a total of 57 aircraft). Although both Japan and the United States misunderstood the outcome of the war, it was Japan's last great victory.

これは、1997年07月04日に築城基地で撮影した1997年戦技競技会に参加した６SQのF1です。

戦意高揚のために、垂直尾翼に黄色の矢印と「１漢字」を描いています。

航空雑誌によると、これは日本陸軍四式戦「疾風（はやて）」の「飛行第85戦隊　第3中隊」の部隊マークだそうです。戦技競技会参加のパイロットのお父様が先のWW2に飛行第85戦隊で活躍されたとか。

※　この日（1997年07月04日）、301ＳQ-F4EJの410号機が日向灘沖で墜落したため、築城基地では、午前１０時以降は全面飛行中止になりました（TT）。

To raise fighting spirit, a yellow arrow and ``1 kanji'' are painted on the vertical tail.

According to an aviation magazine, this is the unit mark of the 3rd Company of the 85th Flight Squadron of the Japanese Army Type 4 Hayate. The father of the pilot who participated in the combat competition was said to have been active in the 85th Flight Squadron during WW2.

*On this day (July 4, 1997), 301SQ-F4EJ No. 410 crashed off the coast of Hyuga-nada, and all flights at Tsuiki base were suspended after 10 a.m. (TT).

これは、2000年05月29日に築城基地で撮影した2000年戦技競技会に参加した６SQのF1です。

この年の参加機のF1は、通常のグリーン系迷彩からグレー系迷彩に塗り変えていました。
