This is a dry
run for the day before the JASDF-Nyutabaru Air
Base Air Festival on Saturday, December 2, 2017.On
this day, a demonstration flight of RF4E (913)
and RF4EJ (397) of the Japan Air Self-Defense
Force Reconnaissance Squadron 501SQ, which flew
from Hyakuri Air Base, was held. This is a
demonstration flight of the RF4EJ, which is an F4EJ
converted into a reconnaissance aircraft. As
expected, this is a former fighter F4EJ. This
flies very easily and flutters.

the JASDF-Nyutabaru Air Base Air Festival held on
Sunday, December 6, 2015.It was raining heavily
from the morning on this day, but the F4s flew
around without worrying about the heavy rain. |

is 301SQ-F4EJ Kai No. 428 taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru
Air Base in November 2011.When the 301SQ was
transferred from Hyakuri base to Nyutabaru base
in March 1985, this aircraft was painted with the
MIG-21 silhouette (second photo). It was also
painted to commemorate the retirement of Hyakuri
Air Base's 302SQ F-4 (third photo taken at Tsuiki
Air Base on Friday, December 7, 2018).It was an
aircraft that entertained us enthusiasts until
the end . |

really like the way the third photo shows the
contact between the pilot and the maintenance
staff (^^). |

was shaken by the blast from the wingman as they
took off in formation, creating a nice atmosphere
in the photo. |

are F4EJs belonging to 304SQ that flew from
Tsuiki base for training with aircraft belonging
to JASDF's Nyutabaru base. These aircraft featured
a prominent colored identification band on the
upper fuselage. The photo above was taken on

| This
is a special painting taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru
Air Base in September 2000 for participation in
the Air Self-Defense Force Combat Skills
Competition. On the air intake vane of this
aircraft, a frog with the 301SQ unit mark is
trying to catch and eat the enemy AGR mascot
cobra. In fact, 301SQ won the Interception
Division of the Air Force Combat Skills
Competition held in June of this year, so the
frogs of 301SQ must have eaten a lot of AGR
cobras... (^ ^) v.The 301SQ-F4EJ Kai retained
this special livery until the Nyutabaru Air Base
Air Festival at the end of 2000. |

| Around
September 1986, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force
ordered each fighter unit in Japan to conduct
research on aircraft painting suitable for actual
combat. The photo above is 301SQ F4EJ-327 taken at
Nyutabaru base on October 3, 1986. This aircraft
oversprayed the large Japanese flag and the
aircraft number on the nose, making them smaller
and less visible. The unit mark is also small and
difficult to see.Two other similar aircraft were
confirmed.(At that time, F4, F1, and F15 aircraft
at various air bases in Japan had several of
their aircraft painted with low visibility paint.)Below
is the comparison photo above, which is Unit 327
with normal paint. (Photo taken on November 24,
1992.) |

base.(First photo) When it appeared in November
1989, it was an amazing "Amigo"
aircraft with a special paint scheme that was
participating in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force
Combat Skills Competition.(Second photo) For a
while in 1990, Unit 415 flew around with its
blacktail and cockpit area still painted black.(3rd
photo)Before the Japan Air Self-Defense Force
Combat Competition in September 1990, "5 red
stars" were added to the shark mouse and
torso.Unit 415 has successfully completed its
mission and is currently on display in a park
near the Tsuiki base. |

aircraft was painted with a conspicuous enemy
character.Above is a faker paint machine
photographed on May 21, 1999.Below is a faker
paint machine photographed on 2000.05.23.At that
time, I was really looking forward to going to
Nyutabaru Air Base around May to take pictures
before the combat sports competition was held. |

| This
is the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Tsuiki Air
Base on Thursday, November 12, 2020.Two F4 Kais,
a commemorative painting machine for 301SQ at
Hyakuri base, have arrived at Tsuiki base.As F4
of 301SQ retires, a commemorative painting
machine visited the Tsuiki base where F4 used to
be.Early this morning, the yellow F4 took off and
headed for the next destination, Naha Air Base. However,
the blue F4 was canceled due to a minor failure.Near
our fishing port point, the F4 made a light turn
after takeoff. |

| This
is the takeoff of an F4EJ Kai aircraft belonging
to Hyakuri Air Base 301SQ, painted to commemorate
its retirement, taken at the Japan Air Self-Defense
Force Tsuiki AIR Base on November 16, 2020 (Monday). This
aircraft was scheduled to fly cross-country from
Tsuiki Air Base to Naha Air Base together with a
yellow-painted F4EJ Kai on November 12, 2020, but
due to equipment failure, the aircraft was unable
to fly. On this day, near the fishing port point
where we were, this F4EJ Kai twisted to the right
immediately after takeoff. The takeoff altitude
was so low that the aircraft spilled out of the
lens frame.Unfortunately, it was raining that day. |

| The
301SQ F4EJ Kai No. 434 belonging to the JASDF-Nyutabaru
base was painted bright gray in 1992 to
participate in the JASDF combat competition. In

aircraft painted like an F1 fighter aircraft) in
a combat competition. |

the entire surface of the aircraft to participate
in the combat competition that year, and they
flew for a while. |

| This
is a formation takeoff of 301SQ F4EJ modified No.
402 taken at the JASDF Nyutabaru Base Air
Festival held on December 4, 1994.At that time,
the Nyutabaru Air Base Air Festival was said by
enthusiasts from all over Japan to be ``Japan's
No. 1 Air Festival,'' which was sunny all day,
and because it was so close to the RW, you could
take pictures from anywhere along the RW,
regardless of the RW change. |

1995.This is a 301SQ-F4EJ modified JASDF-Combat
competition aircraft.A large V mark representing
the 5th air group was drawn on the aircraft. The
commander's machine, Unit 417, had golden eyes
and a golden streak on the V mark on the fuselage.Around
this time, the official painting of JASDF's F4
aircraft was being changed, and there were old
and new painted aircraft. |

close to the outer fence that we fans watched,
and with the lens I usually use, the aircraft
overflowed from the screen (@@). |
