This is a
formation takeoff of 306SQ-F4EJ Kai belonging to
Komatsu Base, taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru Base on
December 3, 1996.These were flown to Nyutabaru
Air Base for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's
national comprehensive exercise and were
conducting interception training with 301SQ F4EJ
Kai.Immediately after this, the 306SQ was
converted from F4 to F15 (March 1997).

is F4EJ-349 of 301SQ taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru
base.This aircraft was not modified into the Kai
and was used as a target towing aircraft.The
first photo was taken on August 17, 1994. Towing
missile target (RMK-19A/A47U-3).The second photo
was taken on October 31, 1994. Towing a dart
target. (Official paint of old Gull Gray).The
third photo was taken on January 23, 1997. Towing
a dart target. (New air camouflage painting). |

is F4EJ Kai-342 of 301SQ taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru
base on March 6, 1992.At this time, an
identification band was drawn conspicuously on
the fuselage of the aircraft (acting as an enemy
aircraft).After that, as shown in the second
photo, this aircraft was given a low visibility
paint job with a gray overspray applied to the
entire aircraft. (Photo taken on February 24,
1993)These were painted to participate in the
JASDF combat competition held in July 1992. (301SQ
won this competition this year.) |

| The
photo below is 301SQ F4EJ Kai taken at JASDF-Nyutabaru
base. These aircraft were painted with faker (enemy
aircraft) paint for aircraft participating in the
JASDF-Combat Competition.The first photo is of
301SQ F4EJ Kai-389 taken at the Air Self-Defense
Force Nyutabaru Air Base on May 9, 1996.At this
time, a large identification band was prominently
painted on the fuselage of this aircraft.The
second and third photos are of Faker aircraft (enemy
aircraft) taken in 1997. This year, the edges of
the main wings of the F4 aircraft were painted
black. You can barely see it in this photo I took.The
fourth photo, as I introduced before, is a 1998
Faker aircraft (acting as an enemy aircraft).
This year, the entire aircraft had a very
noticeable coloring. |

is the RW07 end of JASDF-Tsuiki base on 1997.07.04.This
is a 301SQ-F4EJ belonging to Nyutabaru base
towing a missile target (RMK-19A/A47U-3) for F1
fighter jets belonging to Tsuiki base.The F4EJ
was able to tow dart targets and missile targets,
so a few remained in the 301SQ until 2001. |

Kai is a modified F4EJ with improved capabilities,
